Internal calls

Internal calls refer to calls placed using short numbers. In Telia Cid, calls placed using short numbers are routed according to the Cid number chain specified for the short number.

To activate an internal number for a specific number in Cid Manager, check the "Internal calls" box in the Cid number information view.

NB! Internal calls can only be used if Telia has activated the internal call service for your company. For further information on how internal numbers can benefit your company, please contact your account manager at Telia or Telia Corporate Customer Service.

The internal call service for a specific Cid number works as follows depending on your selection:

1. The "Internal calls" box has not been checked, and the internal call service has not been activated for the numbering area in which the number is included: It is not possible to call the number with an internal number.

2. The "Internal calls" box has not been checked, but the number is included in a numbering area with the internal call service activated: Calls placed with an internal number are directed according to the routing chain of the company/office numbering area - not the number's own calling chain.

3. The "Internal calls" box has been checked: It is possible to call the number using an internal number. Calls placed to an internal number are routed to the number's own calling chain.
